Honda U.K. has officially announced the 2012 CR-Z iCF Mugen, one of the hottest hybrids. Honda CR-Z iCF is the result of collaboration between the Honda UK with Mugen Euro. Previously, the two institutions successfully introduced Honda CR-Z Mugen at the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2011.
The CR-Z iCF Mugen will have 175 PS (129 kW / 173 hp) as Mugen Euro engineers have “breathed over” the 1.5 liter unit by adding a centrifugal forced air induction system and remapping of ECU.
The CR-Z iCF Mugen runs 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) sprint just in 6.1 second or 3 seconds quicker than the regular 124PS CR-Z and have top speed is over 130 mph (209 km/h).
Martin Moll, Head of Honda (UK) marketing said, “MUGEN Euro magic has created a super responsive yet eco-conscious model building on our sporting credentials and giving us the ability to compete in the “hot hatch” marketplace as we move into 2012.”
Mugen Euro is still working on the car and Honda U.K. says the output figure is tentative. The eight Honda UK Mugen dealers will make the CR-Z iCF available for test drives in the spring of 2012. CR-Z iCF Prices start at around £24,000 ($37,245 / €27,944).
